Hate him or love him, you cannot not deny what the man has done in the game.  Shaquille O'Neal has multiple NBA Championships, an Olympic Gold Medal and is a future Basketball Hall of Famer.  In addition, he's been a movie star, rapper, philosopher but most importantly to the readers of this site, a huge supporter of Mixed Martial Arts.

The Diesel's presence has often been noted at MMA events and he even trains.  In this interview during HDNet's Inside MMA he explains how training in MMA is to thank for his championship rings.

Why Shaq Loves and Trains MMA - Inside MMA

Training in MMA has proven successful for other professional athletes as well.  Clay Matthews and Ryan Grant of the Super Bowl XLV winning Green Bay Packers trained in the off-season last year with Jay Glazer and Randy Couture's MMAthletics.  Actually, the entire Atlanta Falcons team trained with them last year and had their best regular season record since the 1998 Super Bowl season.  Are you taking notes Fantasy Football players?

The recently retired O'Neal has recently been mentioned by UFC President Dana White as someone who could possibly get involved in the inner workings of the UFC but not as a fighter.
